We are seeking a skilled FM Handyperson to work at an iconic site in Gateshead, you will join the existing facilities management team at site. This role involves carrying out low-level maintenance at site ensuring the smooth operation of all fabric, mechanical and electrical plant and lighting systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and self-motivated individual looking to join a professional team in a stable, full-time role.
Salary: £26,342 per annum.
Hours: Monday – Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (37.5 hours per week).
Additional: Required to work two weekends per month (time off in lieu provided)

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct lighting and emergency lighting checks
- Lamping (replacement of lamps and fittings)
- Assist with small project works and installations
- Perform fabric maintenance and general handyperson duties
- Ensure the upkeep of building services
- Support and work alongside qualified engineers
- Assist with minor mechanical maintenance (e.g., AC filter changes)
Requirements:
- Proven experience in fabric maintenance/handyperson tasks
- Previous experience in general maintenance roles
- Proactive and hands-on approach to work
- Basic DBS check (recent)
- Basic IT knowledge
