Fabric Technician
Salary: Up to £28,000
Job Type: Term to Perm
Location: Exeter
We are currently seeking a fabric technician with a good understanding of general building services and estate management. To carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive works to building fabric in accordance with agreed service levels, and to respond to site emergencies or client concerns.
Role Responsibilities
- Ensure that fabric and technical skills are maintained through a commitment to personal development.
- The Fabric Technician will be required to carry out all moves and changes that the client requires.
- Ensure that all reactive tasks logged are carried out to meet and exceed expectations and agreed service level agreements.
- Undertake a full range of general maintenance tasks, not limiting to minor plumbing, carpentry, painting, tiling, ensuring service levels are met and to maintain the fabric of the building is at a high standard.
- Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works and that it is passed without delay to the contract facilities co-ordinator.
- Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared prior to any works starting.
- Escort visiting subcontractors around site to ensure safe execution of service-related tasks, and ensure RAMS are reviewed and approved prior to works starting.
Skills
- Build and develop relationships with key business and account stakeholders.
- Physically fit and able to carry tools and components by hand up to 25kg.
- PA testing and IT installation knowledge is desirable, but not essential as on-site training is provided.
- Good IT skills, competent across Microsoft Office programs.

- Actively identify and implement innovation across the contract to enhance performance and continue to exceed the client’s expectations.
- Obtain full Security Clearance.
