Fabric Engineer – Facilities Maintenance
Location: Exeter
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
About the Role
PRS is proud to be recruiting for an experienced Fabric Engineer on behalf of our client, a leading company in the facilities maintenance sector. This is a permanent, full-time position based at a single, static site, offering stability and the opportunity to work within a professional and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across the site.
- Handle a variety of fabric maintenance tasks, including carpentry, painting, decorating, minor plumbing, and general building upkeep.
- Collaborate with the wider facilities team and assist with other maintenance tasks when required.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and site protocols.
- Deliver excellent customer service to site staff and visitors.
About You:
- Previous experience as a Fabric Engineer or in a similar facilities maintenance role.
- Versatile skill set, including carpentry, painting, decorating, and basic plumbing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- A commitment to delivering a high standard of service.
